- SE MO Bootheel sits in NMSZ — SDC D drives rack base anchorage and bracing. Don't underestimate seismic in Cape Girardeau / Caruthersville / Sikeston.
- Many rural MO counties have NO building code enforcement at all (no statewide mandate); State Fire Marshal becomes the only AHJ.
- STL's 3–5 day published target is unusual — fast for a major metro.
- Columbia is in the middle of a 2024 IBC adoption (90-day public comment) — track the cutover date if your project crosses it.
