- Nevada has NO statewide commercial building code; adoption is local. Clark County (Las Vegas metro) adopted the 2024 IBC effective January 11, 2026 with Southern Nevada Amendments. Washoe County (Reno) adopted 2024 ICC codes effective July 1, 2025, mandatory January 1, 2026 with Northern Nevada Amendments. Henderson is still on 2018 IBC (HMC 15.09).

City limits: City of Las Vegas Building & Safety, City of Henderson Building & Fire Safety, City of North Las Vegas. North: Washoe County Building and City of Reno Development Services; City of Sparks for Sparks. NV State Fire Marshal (under DPS) covers state-owned facilities only.

- Anchoring & bracing
- TG-75 references ANSI/MH16.1 current adopted edition (MH16.1-2021 for 2021 IBC, MH16.1-2012 for 2018 IBC). Full seismic detailing per MH16.1 §2.7 required throughout NV given SDC C–E. Western NV racks generally require base plate / anchor design for the high-seismic case.

- IFC Chapter 32 / §3206 — high-piled combustible storage when top-of-storage > 12 ft (or > 6 ft for high-hazard commodities). Clark County Fire Department issues an annual operational permit per IFC 105.5.24/105.5.33/105.6.14. Reno Fire Department reviews in northern NV. NV State Fire Marshal only for state-owned buildings.
🏛️ Engineer Stamp

- Yes. NRS Ch. 625 / NAC 625.610 — all engineering plans submitted to obtain permits must bear a NV-licensed PE's stamp and signature. Structural racks in SDC D+ effectively require a NV Structural Engineer (SE) for buildings on the SE-required list, though rack-only work typically falls under civil/structural PE.
